The written word, unlike the spoken, is static and unchanging. Printed words retain their documented sameness, unlike the words of our memory, which are malleable. It is language’s poetic nuance and potential for abstraction and interpretation that gives it depth and substance. Writing has allowed us to pin down, revise and craft words, allowing expression, symbolism, abstraction and revisitation.

Flat Cities "Processville"
The “Flat Cities” project is an imagined city, place, or space constructed out of paper and flattened as a pattern to be assembled. The project explores how city related themes and concepts can be communicated by applying a graphic system to three dimensional paper forms.

La Musica
The group La Musica comes to Ringling asking students to design possible posters for them to use for the International Chamber of Music Festival. This was my idea! I'm still working on the type so I could possibly use this as a portfolio piece
